Lollius (RE 21) Palicanus, Marcus, ‘a Picene of humble origin, loquacious rather than eloquent’ (Sall. Hist. 4. 43 Maurenbrecher; see picenum), father-in-law of A. *Gabinius(2). As tribune 71 bce, he worked on behalf of C. *Verres' victims, the restoration of tribunes' powers, and jury-court reform, all in preparation for *Pompey's consulate (70), during which he was elected praetor 69.
