Annianus, a poet of Hadrian's time and friend of Aulus *Gellius, owned a Faliscan farm (Gell. NA 20. 8) and composed verse on country themes, probably entitled (carmina) Falisca, and *Fescennini, perhaps part of the same work; his nine surviving lines employ paroemiacs and miuric dactylic tetrameters.Less
