Luscius Lanuvinuslocked

  • Peter G. M. Brown

Luscius Lanuvinus ( = from Lanuvium), author of fabulae palliatae, elder contemporary and rival of *Terence, who offers a spirited reply to criticisms by Luscius in his prologues. Two titles and two lines survive. He seems (if we can trust Terence) to have favoured close fidelity to Greek originals. See palliata.
