Pandrosus, daughter of the Athenian king *Cecrops, to whom with her sisters *Aglaurus and Herse the infant *Erichthonius was entrusted. In some versions she was the only sister not to disobey *Athena's command not to open the chest in which the baby was concealed, which probably reflects her close association with Athena and the *Arrephoria rite and her role as a nurse of children.
