Marcus Scribonius Libo Drusus, great-grandson of *Pompey, pontifex and praetor or praetor designate, in 16 ce underwent the first great political trial of Tiberius' Principate. For *Tacitus (1) (Ann. 2. 27 ff.) an innocent, if foolish, victim of conspiracy, officially (Fasti Amiternini, Sept. 13) he planned to assassinate Tiberius, his sons, and other leading citizens. He committed suicide during the trial.
