Education is the heart of Oxford University Press’s mission, so I am especially honored to serve as the commissioning editor for the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Education. Headed by Editor in Chief George W. Noblit, this innovative reference work comprehensively covers both emerging and foundational topics in education research.

Spanning education globally, articles are authoritative, peer-reviewed, and regularly updated entries written by experts from many different methodological and theoretical approaches. As a unique digital resource, the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Education features embedded multi-media content and cross-referenced links to allow for seamless navigation. Our hope is that the encyclopedia serves to break down barriers across strands of education research and become the go-to education resource for students, scholars, and practitioners in the education community.

Please check back regularly for updates and news, and consider getting involved. We look forward to working with you!

Yours,

Tim Allen
