- Haluk SoydanHaluk SoydanHaluk Soydan is Research Professor and Associate Dean of Research, and the Director of the Hamovitch Center for Science in Human Services, University of Southern California School of Social Work, Los Angeles. Haluk Soydan has a Ph. D. in sociology from Uppsala University, Sweden. Before joining the USC School of Social work in 2004, he has served for the last ten years as Research Director at the National Board of Health and Welfare, Stockholm. His scientific publications include more than two dozens of books, authored or co-authored by him, and a large number of journal articles. He is a co-founder of the international Campbell Collaboration which he served as co-chair for 6 years. His meta-analysis article together with colleagues on what works among ethnic juvenile delinquents was awarded with Pro Humanitate Award for “Intellectual Integrity and Moral Courage.” He is a three times award receiver of the Swedish Association of Textbook Writers. In 2004, he was honored by the Swedish Government for “Zealous and Devoted Service to the Nation.” In 2008, he was given the Recognition of Outstanding Contribution to the Campbell Collaboration Award.

Summary
Genevieve Carter (1907–1999) was a distinguished social welfare researcher, social work administrator, and educator. She was head of intra-mural research in the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, conducting research for policy formulation. She also directed research at other institutions.
